Venice Vaporetto Docks

The Venice Vaporetto docks well away from Sans Marco Square and the "bustle". Here people line up to catch a water bus: mostly tourists with luggage heading to the airport. A bridge interrupts the long street vista and forces you to look up to the mist filled sky and a city tower in the distance. The tall lamp standards and the long overhead street lights form smaller and smaller frames forcing the viewer into the scene. The colors are soft and muted. This sketch is all about shapes.
