Old World Still Life

I set up this still life in my studio after texturizing a large gallery wrapped canvas with heavy brush strokes, palette knife marks and a crackle finish, all put on the canvas and THEN thinned oil paint layers were painted on, each layer allowed to dry, before the next was added. This allowed for a wonderful depth of color, especially on the fruit. My goal was to produce an OLD WORLD look. What fun. .
