Schoodic Point

Solo trip to Acadia. Monarchs, dragonflies, mosquitoes and interested tourists kept me company. I used a Crayola paint set which I set up on a rock and a small canvas pad to make this study. The surf had been thundering on the pink granite rocks two days before this day. I cherish the feelings I had while painting. Jupiter was the closest to the earth the night before and the inky night sky of Downeast Maine was spectacular. I took many photos of a foggy morning with dew on spider webs and a crane perched high in a balsam. It was truly special place.
