My travels often take me to Italy where I'm drawn to the welcoming doorways, balconies and windows. The old world stonework captures my imagination as I wonder about the many families that may have lived within these walls. Whether I paint old world walls or stone canyons, I'm attracted to the shapes and shadows of these subjects. In this painting I used Daniel Smith Extra Fine Watercolors on 300 lb Fabriano Soft Press Paper - a dream to work on.
