A mounted woman leads a horse across quiet waters at dusk. Magic imbues a dreamy, simple moment, giving us a glimpse of the ancient bond of trust between horse and rider. In “Crossing Over,” I wanted to hint at both the fragile delicacy of life and the sweetness of the way we share our time on earth with these magnificent creatures who’ve chosen to walk the path with us.
