I am based in Ventura, CA, and my watercolor art captures the mood, atmosphere and energy of life on the California coast. As a surfer, I especially love interpreting the beach town vibe. Whether painting cityscapes or landscapes, people are an intricate part of nature and inhabit most of my work. I am drawn to all things outdoors and my art is painted on site (en plein air) with an economy of brush strokes and doting. I also enjoy interacting with spectators while plein air painting and sharing my artist’s view of them and their day in a way that a photograph can’t.
