My model has a beautiful collection of vintage clothing. I have painted many paintings of her telling stories about her “ finds” as I paint her. Acrylic underpainting then oils glazed on top. I wanted the emphasis on the gown with the embroidery subtle . The transparent shawl is really what caught my attention when she first sat down.
