Honeysuckle

A painting I made as I strolled around near the Kumano pligrimage route this may. A Butterfly flew so peacefully to the honeysuckle as I went past a bridge near the blossoms. I was struck by the beauty of the lighting on the flowers, and the beach in the distance almost as if the blossoms ascended into the sky and the sun. The painting also has a slight resemblance to a girls head in side profile
